I recorded a pianist last week, with the songs being recorded in multiple takes, section by section.
When I was finished and ready to create audio tracks from lanes, some of the lanes had to be stretched out, some in both directions, to see the full recording of the particular take.
Is there a setting I need to change for the lanes to always show the full recording of each take?
Hi,
Lanes are a linear recording in fact, which are organised into the lanes. So the start of the given lane is at the end of the previous one.
Thank you for reply. Is there a work around for rendering or recording files in which I can open up the lanes and all recordings will be expanded to the full length of each track?
Hi,
There is the Lanes to Tracks function. I’m not with Cubase and 100% sure at this moment, but I think, once you do this, you can extend the resulting Audio Events to the left and right to get the full length.
I’d like to not have to do this. The last client would have up to 40 takes for each song, each with a left and right, and it was very time consuming. It would be great to have an option where all lanes keep their full length.
Hi,
The full length of every single lane is the cycle length * lanes number. As I said, it’s one long file.
