Creating two parts from 1 part containing Divisi sections

I have an orchestral part containing some Divisi Sections - can I create 2 parts from that, if so how?

You can, yes. Duplicate the layout that contains the divisi player, then use Manual Staff Visibility to hide the staff or staves that you don’t want to appear in each of the otherwise identical layouts.
