Crescendo end dynamic before next note

How do I do this? Is there a way doing it with the popover?

I think you need to add the mf first. Then you can write p<f in the popover.

I did that and then the mf gets deleted

Ah, I see, I think that might be a bug that came recently. If you write p<f first, then shorten if slightly with alt/opt-shift-left arrow, before adding the mf?

Jesper

worked here:

it only works when I leave a rest at the end of the crescendo then apply f to it, mf to the next note and then lengthen the long note again. Very time consuming…

I don’t have any better suggestion, I’m afraid.

@jesele’s method works for me. Starting with:

Select the first note. Open the popover with Shift+D, type p<f and Enter.

With the dynamic still selected, type Shift+Alt/Opt+left arrow to shorten the dynamic. This moves the f to just before the 16th notes.

Now you can add the mf to the first 16th.
