Cross Hair Curser

I want to know where the curser is at all times, so I tried to enable cross hair curser, but Cubase will not do it! Is this the best way to always know the curser position, and why won’t Cubase let me do it? Also, how can I keep Status from appearing from nowhere? For me it is a waste of screen space!
Please help

Can’t you just look at the Project Window & see where it is if it is on-screen and if it is off-screen the Transport displays its position.

You might want to explain in more detail what you mean by this.

Thanks, I keep turning off Status, and It keeps coming back.

Shot in the dark, but I think that if you have unassigned outputs (in Audio Connections, the F4 window), the status line pops up to remind you. It used to be like this in previous versions of Cubase, I don’t know if something has changed in the meantime.

Worth a look.

Thanks, I’ll try that

Another thing you can do is change the color to something very noticeable: I picked a very bright lime green so it’s very easy to see. Obviously doesn’t help when it’s off-screen, but you won’t have to hunt to find it if it’s on-screen. You can also make it thicker and outline it.

Also, try checking the “Locate When Clicked in Empty Space” box. That brings the cursor to where you click

The cross hair is only shown when you are using certain tools such as the Draw tool and Split tool.
