Cross staff beaming across barline

Hello everyone,

I am trying to write a particular melodic line in Dorico that should look something like this:

I have tried to write it on the top line, mark the notes i want on the bottom line, and then hit opt. M (Mac). This splits up the beaming and when I try to mark them and beam them together again, it just won’t do it.

Perhaps the problem is that the melodic line goes over a barline? Any solutions to this?

This is what it looks like when I try to do it in Dorico:

Option M MOVES the notes to the lower staff.

M by itself (without Option) makes the notes Cross-staff.

Try with (just) M instead of Opt+M. This is the command for cross staff.
