I need to get one player like this. It is a percussion player that taps the strings with a beater. the lower staff is the strings and the upper staff is the beater position on the string. sometimes there is a lot of positions and then I do an extra large staff.
I can’t manage to get this in dorico. to have one player, so he can do a cross staff and have the upper staff with (in this case) 9 lines.
if I use piano in dorico I have both of the staves 9 lines etc…
help ?

the problem for me is that I need a cross staves chord. And : I need it to be possible to import it with xml..

Did you try to create an instrument with 9 and a 5-line staff in Finale and import it to Dorico? Don’t know if it works, though.

I dont think a Dorico two staff instrument can have different number of staff lines. Sorry. Worth a try, though.
