crossfade. XX brings up the option but minimizes window

Windows 8.

When I hit the X key twice, my main window pulls out of full screen and becomes lower inside the full screen app window.

I then change the cross fade setting accordingly and have to click the maximize button at the top right of the window to get back to where I was. why does it do this and is there a maximize key command for the project window?

Thanks

This same thing happens with editing fade outs and ins.

I can press shift,alt,- and get a menu to maximize the current window (again windows key, arrow up does not work for this inner window) then I can arrow down to “Maximize” hit enter and I am back to normal.

Does anyone know if this is a preference that I can switch so this never happens?

Thanks

Some Cubase windows just will not behave. It has been like this for years.
You must adapt your workflow or choose another DAW.

There are several other threads about this very issue.
Seems like there have always been threads about this issue…

Thanks,

I made a macro for this

shift,alt,- and get a menu to maximize the current window then I can arrow down to “Maximize” hit enter.

Thank you Hotkey Macro Launcher and Macro recorder…
