Cubase 13 PRO crashes every time when:
Open new empty project.
Add a MIDI track.
In the Inspector “set up sessions” add Notepad and write something. Then invariably CU crashing.
Have never had troubles in CU 12

Thank you for the well reported issue!
Does it crash, when you are still typing, or does it crash, once you click out of the Notepad (and you “confirm” the text), please? Do you use English language symbols, or do you use any uncommon symbols in the Notepad?

Thanks once more for coming to help again swiftly.
The crash happens when I leave Notepad using “escape”. It seems to happen only with Notepad, not with other parts of “set up sessions”.
I do not use any symbols or signs. All other programs are closed, it also happens when I insert an instrument track. Please see screen shot just before crashing.
This is of course not a major problem as I could use other word processors. Yet I would be happy if there were no hitches.
