Just installed update and according to release notes, I shoud now see Wavelab Go as an extension alongside my other ARA plugins. No sign of it. Also looked in Download assistant to see if it was a separate download but not there. Anyone else seeing this? Eddie
Thanks. I had seen that and didnāt realise it applied to Go version. Will go get it. Eddie
There is only one Wavelab application now. The app āadjusts itselfā when it checks your license and loads up the appropriate version of it. That really threw me off when I got my upgrade to 13. The first time it loaded the splash screen it said Wavelab Go (I was mad haha), but then at some point it went away and popped up again before the app actually opened and said it was Wavelab Pro..
Installed and working thanks.
Of course, as soon as I tried Go, I hit features that are only available in Pro, Just as well I have Spectralayers Pro and Izotope RXā¦
LOL I hear that one. When I bought it, I looked at the different versions thinking āNah I donāt need Pro, I wont use half the stuff in it evenā, but it ended up that all of the stuff I DID want to use was only available in Pro so I had to get the full blown one haha.
I actually bought 11 Elements to start but upgraded during the very next sale just to get things like the batch processor and whatnot..
Has anyone seen a vid of what specifically Wavelab Go includes (not anything pertaining to the full Wavelab)?
I donāt know about a vid but thereās a dedicated manual for Wavelab Go

Nice find

Does this mean that if we have WaveLab Elements or Pro, then we get that additional functionality (over and above Go) as an ARA plug-in, within Cubase?
There is an āEdit in WaveLabā command in the Audio menu, though all that happened was that WL launched, without loading the audio file that was selected in Cubase.
The info is quite confusing.
There are three versions of wavelab? Wavelab PRO, Wavelab (cubase version), Wavelab elements? Are elements and cubase version the same?
All are āwavelab goā in context of cubase15? I assume that you need the latest version of wavelab*.
I agree, @cubace , and was wondering specifically:
How does Wavelab Go compare featurewise with the least expensive paid version of Wavelab?
There is nothing confusing. Wavelab Pro and Elements are releases you can buy and they have different sets of functionality. Like Cubase Pro and Elements.
Wavelab 13 Go is included in the Cubase license and it is a version with even less functionality compared to Elements.
If you do not have a Wavelab Pro or Elements license the Go version will be activated. If you ave a license for Pro or Elements these versions will be activated.
That is all, no rocket science at all.
That is correct. I have a Wavelab 13 Pro license and when I start the Wavelab plugin on an Audio event in Cubase it will launch the Pro release.
As always check the comparison chart on the Steinberg Website, it will tell you everything.
Apologies, I wrote that in the parking lot, late for an appointment - I should have known better!
Kind of weird that Go supports up to 384 kHz, but Elements supports only to 96 kHz.
And under āProcessingā, Go has āFullā Time stretching and pitch correction, but Elements has āLimitedā.
Wavelab āGOā is a stripped down minimal set of tools for use in Cubase, and comes with your Cubase license. Makes sense that the version meant to be used within Cubase would support features you might actually need inside Cubase.
Otherwise you need to compare Elements with Pro to compare the differences between the āstand aloneā versions. Not the freebie that Steinberg bundles with Cubase.
