I don’t know if it’s a bug or change in the interface but it seems that Cubase 10.5 is no longer offering different grid types.
All I see is single type which is milliseconds, all other types age gone.
No bar, beat or quantise options available.
Is it a bug or is it me missing something?!?
This feature is so essential to me that without it Cubase 10.5 is simply a no-go version.
Thankfully it’s you missing something 
It’s because you have switched to Time instead of Bars&Beats Grid.
Right-click in your timeline and you will see a menu pop-up. Choose bars + beats.
