Cubase 10.5 license is gone from dongle after failed upgrade!

On one hand, You’re right, in the grand scheme of things this isn’t the biggest deal in the world but let’s look at it another way.
Some people who rely on these tools for work may be going through a really tough time too, they perhaps struggled to finance the update due to a lack of paid work over the last 6 months.
The issues of the last 24 hours must have been incredibly frustrating for some, who are also going through the same “world of darkness” stuff you referenced.

My Cubase 11 is working, I’m ok, but many peoples aren’t and if their dongles are wiped and there’s no response from Steinberg then that’s a legitimate cause for concern. Telling them it’s all their fault or there’s nothing to worry about when they’ve lost money or client time is just not going to help, even if you’re right. It’s just going to antagonise people. That’s all.
