I am experiencing an extremely frustrating issue with Cubase 10.5 Pro.
I’m running on a Mac OS Catalina with a 16" MBP.
Every so often, I would take a folder and for example would try to copy it to another place in the session, and this causes the program to freeze and I’m unable to continue working, unless I force quit the software. If the playback is running, you can hear that the track is still playing and responding to whatever MIDI is comes across, but the program is completely untouchable unless I force quit it.
This happens so many times, since the very first Cubase 10.5 and I’m now with 10.5.10 updated, and still this issues drives me insane. I’ve now deleted and downgraded to Cubase 10 which was stable.
I have no idea what causes this, and I also have no report to give you since the software has to be shut by force and doesn’t provide a log crash.
Please Steinberg, take a closer look on what changes you’ve made from 10 to 10.5 and try to see why these two versions are so different in stability. At the moment, it’s impossible to work with 10.5.
