Cubase 10 breaks Memu (Android emulator)

I regularly use Memu (the Android emulator) on my PC. Prior to Cubase 10 I have never had any problems with it.

After installation of Cubase 10, the loading of a project immediately breaks the Android emulator. The emulator freezes and cannot be used any more. It’s stuck to the point where the only possible action is to kill it with Task Manager.

Currently, I have only seen this problem when loading a project created in Cubase 9.5 (even after this project is saved in Cubase 10). I have not tested that much yet, so I don’t know if it’s a Cubase9.5projectthing or if there’s something special used in those projects. I have tried to manually re-create such a project from scratch in Cubase 10 and cannot reproduce this problem when that project is loaded.

Windows 10 version 1803
Cubase 10.0.5
Memu 5.5.8

Among all odd things…

I just realized that a new version of Memu was released today(!) and when that version is installed, Memu no longer crashes when I load a Cubase 9.5 project in Cubase 10. :open_mouth:
