Cubase 10 Crashes when I try to use a sampler track

Hi,
This issue has come out of nowhere as I never had a problem before.
Whenever I drag a sample into the sampler control on the bottom of the page, my Cubase crashes.
This happens with samples of different lengths, bitrates and from different locations.
The same thing occurs when I create a sampler track and try to drag a sample into it.
I’ve already tried a clean install of Cubase elements 10.0.4 and nothing seems to work :frowning:

It is insane how often this is happening to people. How on earth have Steinberg not resolved this issue since its been happening for years now!!
