No, you do not need to access any codes. Do what I wrote, start the eLicenser control center and check for the dongle.
I got to the elicencing and seen all my software there and got it registered , with a a long number , now a steinberg download screen . giving me options of downloads , downloaded all my software , installed cubase 10.5 only , opened it , even though i had it registered as specified by you , showed success , though the 2nd number , said already regestered to another user ??? , Ok Cubase triies to load , asked for an e licence , and only after i pluged in the physical USB dongle it worked , if i remove the dongle , Nothing doesnt load .. so had many times submitted a ticked to steinberg .. no response.. did every thing suggested by you , registration and all.. have screen shots of all the mesg .. so what do i do now ?? Please any one , and Steinberg will u please take this seriously and forever fix my problem .. I cannot affort to buy another Cubase , specially after i constantly kept upgrading my software dedicately for so many years?? n didnt even try installing Halion and the others absolute yet ??
Cubase 10.5 requires the Dongle, that will not change. You must have it connected as long as you want to work with Cubase 10.5
There is nothing else to do, your old codes can not be used again they are one-time codes and you already used them
Cubase 10.5 is not supported anymore for some years, so support will not help here anymore and you obviously donât need any further help.
If you want to get rid of the dongle you need to update to the latest version. But you say Cubase 10.5 works, so what else do you want.
Thanks finally for your reply , and so what also happens to my legal purchased Halion 4.x, Absolute 4 , and Halionsonic 1.x ( this is not important ) which are on my USB dongle ?? can just a cubase upgrade (what would you recommend to save on costs , ) n of course , because of my 3 year gap due to circumstances , i finally get on the right track again , with out the USB dongle.. please can you suggest step by step what should I do .. also all the above could be also due to steinberg website refused to accept my older user name : Stubbonla@yahoo.com , and the forum older user name : wetstreet , pas words were correct . and so accepted email : earthdesignz.inc@gmail.com , ??? so you can check my history there.. as also , another number on my usb dongle , when i try to register it , it says this is registered to another user ? can you pls sort that out , ill upgrade accordingly , and waiting for your response. thanks
This is just a user forumâŚ.so no Juergen canât sort out your messed up accounts. Contact Steinberg support. Also really not a good idea to post your mail addresses in public like this.
Regarding your older software, you will have to use it with the dongle unless you upgrade everything to newer versions with Steinberg licensing. Just upgrading Cubase wonât change licensing on old Halion or Absolute.

Noted , I did post as i was not getting any reply the the ticket/s i created , but getting the hang of how the new changed system works now. only how do i upgrade using the old USB dongle , Steingberg doesnât recognize it anymore?
Your dongle isnât recognised because you arenât logged in with correct details. You will never to ask support to recover your original account that has that dongle registered.
