Cubase 11 cant find wave files when launched

I reinstalled Cubase 11 Elements on my PC / Win 10. When I launch a .cpr file Cubase opens but cannot find any files. Can someone please help

Can you not manually locate them? From the path names, these are in the OneDrive user desktop backups, not what I would consider standard source files. Meaning, I would expect the use of “C:\Users\Jim\Desktop\Lessons…” but not the “OneDrive” backup of that. I guess that could work, but it just seems odd to me.

What happens when you click the “Search” button?

It defaults to File Explorer then I pick a directory or song. It searches my whole C drive

You’re really going to need to provide some more information if you want folks to help. Some simple things like:

  1. What happens after it searches your C: Drive? Does it find them?
  2. Have you manually looked in the directory Cubase has identified and verified they are actually there?
  3. When manually finding them and saving the project, does the error for that file go away?
  4. Have you looked in your Media Pool to verify that the project isn’t pointing to old files that don’t even exist in the first place and you just need to delete them from Media Pool?
