Cubase 11 Crash Graphic Problem?

HI,

any idea why cubase crashes ? It shows me the following when restarting:
graphics2d.dll crashed

During the crash i get the message unrecoverable graphic error 0x8007000e.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Try to update your graphics card driver, please.

What graphics card do you have, please?

HI, Thanks, will try, nvidia 1080 Asus

Hi,

Please try this:

  • Uninstall the NVIDIA driver.
  • Download the latest Studio driver version from here.
  • Start the installation (as administrator).
  • Don’t install the whole package, use the Custom (Advanced) settings.
  • Disable everything (don’t install NVIDIA Experience, PhysX, etc.), keep just the video driver enabled.

Great, Thanks…

I have exactly the same problem but have a Nvidia GTX 770 and there is no studio driver for this card. Any recommendations?

Hi,

Could you attach the *.dmp file, please?
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps

I don’t have this folder (my files are not hidden).

Had the same problem recently - the error window would pop up as soon as I try to maximize/resize a project window. Solved it (Hopefully) by trying to install the Cubase 12 trial - Just out of curiosity whether the issue will pop up there too. After verifying that it didn’t , I’ve I just renamed the graphics2d.dll to graphics2d_bak.dll and copied the same file from the trial version into the cubase 11 binary folder, next to cubase11.exe. Worked like a charm! At least for the time being…
