Cubase 11 Crashes on Editor Window Resize

When resizes undocked editor windows to a height shorter than allowing for full visibility of the inspector parameters, program crashes to desktop. (I don’t think resizing should work to where the window height is that small at least, but I’m returning to Cubase after several years.) Repeatable bug/crash.

Can anyone else confirm?

Thanks - JG

Hi,

Could you attach the *.crash/dmp file, please?

Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports in macOS 10.15 (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps

Latest crash dump attached.

Thanks!
JG

Hi,

The crash seems to be in ATI driver:

STACK_TEXT:
atidxx64+0x9e7fc9
0x1
0x40
0x149600
0x647d2b0

Thanks, Martin.

Just realizing this crash happens with ANY Cubase windows resizing. So, to be clear, you’re saying that this isn’t a bug. I don’t have window resizing crashes for other apps. Can you please clarify?

Thanks,
JG

Hi,

I’m not saying this isn’t a bug. I said it seems, this is not a bug in Cubase.

Please, try to update your graphic card driver.

A post was split to a new topic: Crashes, window resizing problems

Hi,

There are other threads with this crash. It seems, the graphic card driver downgrade solves the issue.

Indeed working here. Thanks, Martin!
