Cubase 11 Pro crashing during initialization

Cubase has been crashing with some frequency on me during initialization, usually when it gets to the VST2 scan part.
Win 10 1909, Cubase Pro 11.0.20

Cubase 11.0.20.371 64bit 2021.5.1 3.20.33.388.dmp (1.1 MB)
Cubase 11.0.20.371 64bit 2021.5.1 3.20.33.389.dmp (1.4 MB)
Cubase 11.0.20.371 64bit 2021.4.27 7.36.28.562.dmp (1.6 MB)

Hi,

The crash is in the GenericMultiCoreProcessor. Make sure your Waves plug-ins are up to date, please.

Thanks for the reply Martin. I searched and found I had the 9, 10, and 11 waves shells, so I deleted those. All my plugins are current according to Waves Central. Since this is an intermittent problem I’ll monitor for a while before I get back to you about whether it’s resolved or not. Thanks for your help.

So had another crash today:

Cubase 11.0.20.371 64bit 2021.5.12 0.46.33.559.dmp (965.1 KB)

Hi,

Could you be more specific, when this crash happened, please?

Sorry Martin. I should have added this right after it happened, now I’m less sure, but I think it happened during initialization again. The thing that was a little different this time was that I had installed the latest update to AIR Vacuum Pro and it was not stable, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the previous version. I believe it booted successfully once, then it was the following boot that Cubase crashed during initialization. At least this is how I’m remembering it now.

Another crash tonight during initialization. Like many occasions, it didn’t create a crash dump file.

Another crash today (May 19, 2021) during initialization, VST2 scan, with no crash dump created.

Another crash during initialization (5-20-21 2:30 am). No crash dump file

It’s a rogue app. Go through them and find out which and remove

Hi there, I’m having a similar problem with Cubase 11 and all my plug ins as I am trying to migrate to my new mac doing a clean install.

At the risk of sounding very stupid, could you advise on how to find out which plug ins might be causing the problem? (I’ve unintalled all my Waves ones for now as I’m pretty sure they need updates, but I think there are some other plug ins still causing a start up problem.)
Thanks very much
