Cubase 11 pro eLicenser error

I just started Cubase 11 pro but it failed. After updating my eLicenser to the latest version (.1286) it failed again. Message: “The connection to protection device lost.”

Until yesterday I had no problems. Now I have: I planned a studio session today…

How to act?

Try to unplug the USB-eLicenser and plug it back. Or try to use other USB port, please.

I just did that, and I succeeded.
Is this a temporary problem or will it be the same, after I closed Cubase today and start my computer again tomorrow?
