Cubase 11: Steinberg MIDI insert presets missing

Hi,

Cubase 11 - ALL my midi insert effects, such as Arpache SX, Auto LFO, Transformer are showing no presets in the drop down list. I have not amended my config knowingly.

Indeed looking in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 11\Presets I see all the contents I expect (and matching what is still in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 10.5\Presets)

So in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 11\Presets\Arpache 5 I see

But the preset menu in Arpache doesn’t show these at all.

Thanks in advance for how to re-point Cubase to look at these.

I’m not sure at all why they are not showing for you - they work fine for me.

However there seems to be another folder where those presets are stored:

C:\Users\{your windows user id}\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 11_64\Presets\Arpache 5

I wonder, if maybe Cubase grabs them from there?

Thanks Nico5,

The %AppData% folder you mention had a few files and folders in it, but most things were missing.

So to fix, I copied the contents of

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 11\Presets\

to

C:\Users{my windows user id}\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 11_64\Presets\

I chose to skip rather than overwrite files that were already there.

Hey presto, all my presets are back. Your answer worked for me, thanks again.

I had the same problem.
Thanks!

After a fresh install, this issue is still present. On Windows machines it effects the Midi Inserts, Logical Editor and some other functions, too.
As Saxobob points you need to copy the files like he says.
This should not happen on a fresh install.
thanks
