Sumetimes Cubase just quits and sometimes it hangs, especially after leaving Cubase started for awhile. Does anyone see this problem or is just my bad luck?
Cubase 11 worked flawless for me and I have not changed anything since installing Cubase 12.

Could you provide more details, please? When does Cubase quit, when does it hang? Are you on Mac or Windows?
Could you provide crash/dmp file, please?
Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports in macOS 10.15 (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps
I am having catastrophic crashes in Cubase 12 Pro the last few days. It happens when I’m trying to open a project - gets just about all the way through the opening process loading the tracks then Cubase craps the bed and quits hard before the project gets open.
I’m on a Mac running Monterey 12.2.1
Cubase 11 was typically quite stable, so I am getting very frustrated with 12.

I’m on Windows.
Most of the time when hanging or closing happens I’m not at the computer, I have just left the computer to do something else for awhile. I feel that this is strange because I do not use Cubase when I’m away.
Sometimes I just listen to the track and Cubase hangs or just quits.
I have a sound card from Universal audio - Apollo Solo USB with the latest drivers.
I do have 36 crashdumps, but I dont know which is best to look at. Sometimes I close down Cubase after it hangs, will that create a crash dump?

One of the issue is known and it suppose to be fixed in the upcoming update.
The other one needs more investigation.
Hi, same issue here.
Cubase quit without doing something, no editing, no playing, leave it alone with an project opend and have a cup coffee - came back and Cubase has closed.
I also don’t understand why Cubase closes a project 9 times out of 10. If I close a project to open another project, I have to restart Cubase every time. So what’s the difference in the “Close” and “Exit” menus if Cubase is always closed when you close a Project???

Try to update to Cubase 12.0.10, please. If it’s still happening, attach the lates crash/dmp file, please.

I’m getting hangs in 12.0.10 any time I try to “Edit VST Instrument” (via shortcut key or by clicking the button)

I have this issue too. It can even occurs without any project loaded.
For example when you start Cubase on evening and don’t load anything.
And then on the morning when you pick up a project it hangs during loading.
I have not seen it happen when using a project. And it happen on 12.0.10 as well. (Mac/Monterey)
