What exactly do you mean by “the page display is now displayed as expected”?
I’m asking because Cubase still doesn’t remember the page size on my Macbook Pro (Catalina 10.15.7). I’ve created two projects: first is set to A4 size, second to US Letter. When I open the first project (which is supposed to be set to A4 paper size), I see US Letter.

I think it’s referring to the issue where switching between portrait and landscape in the Page Setup dialog would not correctly reflect in Page Mode view.
