Hello. I have the last versions of Cubase 12 and Spectralayers 9.
Please check the crash DMP file:
Cubase 12.0.52.393 64bit 2023.1.12 12.59.11.498.dmp (1.2 MB)
Cubase is crashing while loading the SpectraLayers VST. It looks like there is something wrong with SpectraLayers itself.
Can you launch SpectraLayers standalone? Is it working correctly outside of Cubase?
Well. Seems that this bug was long time ago… I purchased the update to version 9 pro from 8… But it is still here =(
I think that Steinberg need to fix it for sure =(
I really like to work with SpectraLayers in Cubase. It’s more faster…
I’m not sure I understand correctly what you are saying.
So you had SpectraLayers 8 before and it had the same problem? Is that correct?
It seems there is something wrong in your setup, because if I launch Cubase 12.0.52 and try to use Spectralayers 9 in it it works absolutely fine. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it is a bug in the product.
Have you tried to deinstall Cubase as well as SpectraLayers completely and do a full reinstall?
No, no, no. My setup is totally OK. And it works in Cubase.
I add guitar part to the Cubase. Then I open it via extansions - spectrolayers. Registered and delete the noise and also delet the hum. Then I make extension permanent and Cubase crash afetr that manipulation…
Ok, in that case you should open a support request with Steinberg.
Hi,
The crash is in the SpectraLayers. Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
Thanks! Really hope that it will be fixed!
Btw. If these steps need… I was add guitar part to the Cubase. Then I open it via extansions - spectrolayers. Registered and delete the noise and also delete the hum. Then I make extension permanent and Cubase crash afetr that manipulation…
