When I save a project, Cubase prompt’s me to save as 01 - as the project has crashed. Well, the project has NOT crashed… but every time I want to save - it saves as a new version. Why?

Are there any *.dmp files in the Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps/ folder available? If yes, attach a few latest files, please.
Maybe the project is corrupted.

Don’t know if it will help but the crash appears to be in Amplitube.

You are on Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19.0.41.1)
The minimum system requirement for Cubase 12 is Windows 10 version 21H2 (build 19.0.44). In other words, you might want to consider updating to a higher Windows 10 version. This may as well be a reason for your issues.
EDIT: You are aware of the fact that your version has not been supported with security updates for more than 3 years, right?
