Cubase 12 Elements and The DR-880

Hello.
I am trying to drive the DR-880 with Cubase but I failed. I am using a Midi cable between the audio interface (Tascam Model 12, Midi Out) and the DR-880 (Midi In). The DR-880 is in Midi Remote or Midi mode but is not responding.
Please any tips to share?

If I understand you correctly, make sure theTascam Model 12 is set as an input and output of the MIDI Remote Device, please.

If you want to get bidirectional communication, you need 2 cables. But my point was, Cubase cannot see the DR device, but it sees the Tascam.
