Cubase 12 Elements Input and Output records at the same time

Hi,

I need some help. I am new to Cubase and use the Steinberg UR22II as an interface. My OS is Windows 11. I have tried to record some guitars over a backing track. However the complete mix get rerecorded to every track every time I record something. Anyone got an Idea how to solve this.

I’m not familiar with the specifics of that interface for detailed steps. But it sounds like you might have Loopback enabled on the interface. Loopback is normally used when you want to record something your computer is playing - for example the audio from a YouTube video. In normal use it should be turned off.
