Noobie here. I just bought a virgin install of CB 12. In My earlier versions HALion was integrated into the program. I now find that HALion is a stand alone.
Is there a way to integrate it into CB12?
This is not the case. Can you elucidate?
There are several issues.
1.) If I try to access HALion from with in CB 12, the entire program crashes. I’ve given up on trying to decode that error message.
2.) Last evening I was FINALLY able to “assign” a sound to my M-Audio 49.
3.) This afternoon I tried to open that file, and was unable do to a message that said “Mix Console cannot load track ‘Forgive Me’” I searched my entire hard drive, and that file is not present.
4.) Out of shear luck, I found the HALion icon on my desktop. Click, open, and perfect. Synced with my 49, no problem.
5.) Closed it, opened CB, added a few tracks with no issue using HAL.
6.) Saved the project, closed the program. Restarted, opened “recent”, another crash,
I don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but if I had all the time that I’ve spent messing with this thing back, and used it recording on a Revox, I’d be a lot better off.

Please make sure, you have HALion Sonic (SE) and the content installed. HALion 7 is dedicated application/plug-in, you would need extra license for. Only HALion Sonic SE is part of Cubase license.
Attach the crash/DMP file, so we can find out, where does the crash happen.
This is not about a file. To me it looks like some plug-in is crashing your Cubase. Most probably this error is related to the point 1.

I will also note the version(s) of HALion that are installed.
It may or may not be of any significance, but I do have several third-party plug-ins, specifically Waves.Inc., but they are mostly channel strips and not voices.
This is what is installed. So, there’s that.
Here’s the rest of what I have. I haven’t been able to locate the dump files.
Lest I forget to mention, all the music I created prior to the CB12 upgrade is now “Dust in the Wind.”
Nowhere to be found.
