Cubase 12 + Line6 HX Stomp XL

I’ve been using Cubase 12 for ages now with my Line6 HX Stomp XL as an audio device on Windows 10. I’m still receiving Windows 10 updates.

In the last few weeks, Cubase has been hanging when opening on the “Select Audio Device” window.

When I say hang, I mean in a pretty big way! You can’t kill Cubase, in fact, if you try, it also hangs Task Manager. Task Manager also fails to be able to get application names to display for some of it’s processes and Windows refuses to restart.

I uninstalled all my audio drivers and Cubase and everything seemed to be working fine till I reinstalled the drivers for the Line6 audio interface.

Anyone else run into this?

I managed to fix this by completely uninstalling and reinstalling my video drivers. I forced a dump file creation and it seems to suggest Cubase was hanging when drawing the select audio device window. Working theory was some corrupted gfx caches?

Anyway, seems to work now!
