Cubase 12 not playing files in order

My files are not playing where the cursor is located! Any suggestions?

Could you be more specific, please? Maybe a screenshot might help.

Do you use Arranger Track by any chance?

when I hit play it starts at the end of the project and the cursor is playing at the beginning

At this moment, the Cursor is at the very beginning, right?

It’s recommended to keep 1 or 2 bars free at the very beginning. Could you do so? Does it help?
