The August 2023 Driver Update for my Focusrite 18i8 3rd Generation has resolved the freeze up issue when trying to exit Cubase - I put it thru a very heavy save and exit procedures with zero freeze ups. So far so good. I am using Windows 11 insider program with all latest updates.
The 3rd Generation applies too.
