Cubase 12 pro is not possible to use

Cubase 12 pro is not possible to use - after update it make whole pc restart every 5 min - i spend long time to understand why ?? And no solution - Back to use cubase 11 pro and 10 - they work with no problem - can i bring the new plugs to cubase 11 ? Or i just loose the cash for stupid absoluttely useles update to 12 pro - Never going to use this again - We see if i buy 13 - Never had so much problems since cubase 4

Maybe some helpful troubleshooting tips:

First thing to maybe try is open Cubase in “Cubase Safe Mode”. If there are no crashes then it might be a third party plug in causing problems, you can add them in one at a time to see which one (do you have VST2 plug ins? I think maybe they are not allowed in C12).

There is a Cubase crash log that is generated with each crash, and if you post it (link to it?) here sometime may be able to help.

Attach a crash/dmp file, please.

Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: %userprofile%/Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps

This might be a bit misleading. I guess, you mean this:

  • Open Cubase the way to show the Safe Start Dialog.
  • Try to Disable Preferences (and) or disable 3rd party plug-ins, in the dialog.
  • Is Cubase crashing after?

If not, the issue is in the preferences (you can delete them in the Safe Start Dialog) or in the 3rd party plug-in (then you have to find out, which one is it).

But attaching the crash/dmp file will definitely bring some light.
