Cubase 12 randomly "forgets license"

Hi everyone,
since I upgraded to Cubase 12 the software randomly seems to “forget” the license, meaning that on the splash screen the initial scan stops at “Checking license” and a few seconds after the program completely quits.
The problem goes away if I restart the computer.

I’m on Windows 10 Ultimate (up to date)
Cubase 12.0.30

Sometimes the licenses doesn’t read the libraries content, and prompts me to rescan it.
Is this something already brought up or has anyone encountered the same issue ?
Not a biggy, but annoying nonetheless.

Many thanks,

S.

There were similar problems for some users.
But it turned out that it was mostly a system related issue with different origin.

Thank you for your reply.
The good thing is that it’s not a big issue, just a little annoying.
I’m sure Steinberg will work on a fix, as I understand this new licensing system is brand new so I gues it still need some time to run smooth for everyone.

Cheers,

S

Ok looks like things are getting weirder and weirder.
Now when I close a project and I want to open another one the loading gets stuck and Cubase irresponsive.
On the task manager the Steinberg License becomes irresponsive making the whole loading process impossible. The only way to fix this once again is to reboot the computer.
I tried turning off my antivirus (Kaspersky) but the result is the same.
This is starting to become a very annoying issue.
