Hi, my cubase 12 crashed again and again when I open it on MacBook. I’m guessing it has to do with some plugin incompatibility, but I don’t know which one. I tried to open cubase in safe mode, but all third-party plug-ins have been disabled. How do I find the bad plugin and remove it?

Hello there and welcome to the forum,
Normally there should be a ‘crash dump’ file generated by Cubase.
This is mentioned on the splash screen where you are offered the option to launch Cubase in safe mode.
Please do upload this file (just attach it in your next post) and someone will have a look at it.
(I am on Windows and don’t know how to read Mac dump files)
Thank you for your response:) I have uploaded the crash dump here, hope someone can help.
Okay, now we just wait for Martin.Jirsak or another MacOS tech savvy guy on this forum to pick up this post.
Usually finding the offending VST seems to be straightforward …
I’m not a Mac User, but from the IPS dump it looks like the reason for the crash is Melodyne.
Are you loading Melodyne and can you try to start it without?
Sounds reasonable, but I have no idea how to open cubase without running Melodyne. Sad…
I uninstalled the Melodyne but the cubase still crashed, and here is the new crash dump. Anyone can help?

Well now it seems like it is the vstconnectplug
"vmRegionInfo" : "0x12c612400 is not in any region. Bytes after previous region: 40584193 Bytes before following region: 83524608\n REGION TYPE START - END [ VSIZE] PRT\/MAX SHRMOD REGION DETAIL\n mapped file 129c50000-129f5e000 [ 3128K] r--\/rwx SM=COW ...t_id=55e7ee81\n---> GAP OF 0x765c000 BYTES\n __TEXT 1315ba000-134d72000 [ 55.7M] r-x\/rwx SM=COW ...stconnectplug",
but as I said, I’m not a Mac User and this is just guessing, based on the error message I see here.
Yap, I also noticed that it change to vstconnectplug. Thank you:) But still need to wait for someone to solve the problem.
