In Cubase 11 I had a nice little custom startup picture. I was trying the same trick with Cubase 12 today, but it didn’t work.
Does anyone know if it works similarly but with other formats/pictures?
It works the same here but I’ve noticed there’s the dull splash screen initially then it quickly changes to my substitute splash screen.
yes the same for me, but the screen format seems different, I just get a little showing in the left corner. Which file did you modify?
Steinberg > Cubase12 > Startup > startup_cubase_pro.png
I’m thinking I’ll also have to change start_up_cubase.png
Cubase starts with a generic splash screen until it has checked its license. Based upon your license it will then use the splash screen for your applicable version.
On PC the files should be here (depending on your installation choice):
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 12\Startup
If you have Artist or Pro it’ll look like this:
I am not sure when the “…_bgr” files are used.
