Well, that is a short one. Crash happens directly in Cubase.exe,
paging @Martin.Jirsak , @Armand
Not sure if Steinberg will be able to get a good read from this one, though.
Hi Mike. Are you able to reproduce this more than once?
The crash apparently occurred after/while updating menu items. What plugin is it? I’ll echo Phil: is it reproducible?
All Cubase symbols, it actually provides a very good read
Hey, thanks for chiming in, folks.
I was a bit surprised as well when I saw ‘Cubase13.exe’ in the dump file.
To answer your questions:
I had been working on a project for a couple of hours when this happened. And I was trying various plugins and changing the order of the plugin chain for a few minutes when this happened. It wasn’t like I moved one insert to another slot and then, crash. I had been moving them around for a few minutes when this happened. So I don’t know if it’s reproduceable. It could have been some weird combination of plugin changes and/or moves that caused it, in which case it may never happen again.
The thing that kinda freaked me out was that I had just updated from 13.0.20 to 13.0.21. So, as I had not seen this problem in 13.0.20, I thought that could be a bug in the new version.
If it happens again I’ll come back and update this post.
Thanks for the responses!
