I just discovered two new bugs in 13.0.21 that were not present in 13.0.20.
The loss of shift+ arrow key functionality in the Key Editor (that shifts a note up/down an octave).
The loss of Cycle Marker functionality in Marker Tracks (i.e., we’re no longer able to insert a new Cycle Marker).
Reverting to 13.0.20 fixed both problems.
It’s time to take stock of your company when you cannot release a single update without constantly introducing new bugs. What’s going on over there? This was supposed to be a minor (hotfix) release but SB still managed to introduce new bugs!
This is not the case for me. If I position the Left Locator at measure 5 and the Right Locator at measure 9, a cycle marker is inserted there. Everything works on my side.
I can’t provide a screenshot (because I already reverted back to 13.0.20), so I’ll describe what the problem was in words.
I always add a Marker Track to my projects and insert Cycle Markers to delineate each section (e.g. intro, verse, chorus, etc.). I included an example of what I’m talking about below, but this is from an old project using an earlier version of Cubase 13. The Cycle Markers are contained in the Marker Track named “Sections”.
This afternoon I went to do what I just described above (when I was still using 13.0.21), but after selecting a range in my project and clicking on add a Cycle Marker in the Marker Track, nothing happened. I tried it several times. I did notice that one entry for each attempt was added to History, but no Cycle Marker ever appeared in the Marker Track.
After reverting back to 13.0.20 I tried the same exact thing (in the same project with the same range) and it worked perfectly the first time.
