Cubase 13 (and 12) keep on crashing. Related to VST?

I need help to figure out why my program keep crashing.

Cubase 13.0.21 64bit2024.3.27 (1.1 MB)
Cubase 13.0.21 64bit2024.3.19 (1.1 MB)

It happens constantly. These CraschDumps are just the lastest. It´s been like this since i got the programme.

Sincerly, Daniel

Hi and welcome,

Update to the latest Cubase 13.0.30, please. If it’s still crashing, upload the latest (13.0.30) dmp file, please.

I resently updated. This has happend on both 12 och now 13. I´ll upload the lastest crashdump.

Is HALion Sonic updated to the latest version?

Yes, I updated all the VST, still crashes. It´s not just HALion.

HALion is the only reference to the crash I can see in your dump file. Perhaps Martin is able to see something different.

Martin told med to upload the latest dmp after updating the Cubase version. The problem has been there since I got Cubase 12. Every project I´ve started since september 2023 has crashed.

That sounds unusual. Have you ruled out any faulty hardware components, such as RAM e.g.?

I´m new to this, so no. It could be something with the hardwere. Do you mean that my computer may be to “weak”?

I looked at 2 other dump files and they all appear to point to HALion Sonic.
The first thing I would try is re-installing HALion completely from scratch.

No, I mean checking if there is something wrong with one of your RAM modules.
You could try running MemTest86 to see if it reports something odd. There might be other programs that can spot failing RAM modules as well.

Install it as administrator, please.

Ok, I´ll try to re-install. But it has happend with Retrologue also. I re-installed all the VST about 1-2 weeks ago. I´ll do it again.
