I see. Well, it was Cubase that unexpectedly quit right after startup, so I do wonder what this is about.
Hi,
With this information, the picture is clearer.
Cubase started. t tried to show the Steinberg Hub, where it tried to load the web content (the left part). Something went wrong with the network connection which crashed Cubase.
@Martin.Jirsak I’ve spent all morning looking at the Midi settings you mention. Unfortunately using the WinRT midi driver was a nightmare. Just didn’t work. I managed to get somethings working but my RME ports dissaperaed although they still worked and my Drawbar and expression pedals just refused to work at all.
I’m back on the default settings now and it’s all working.
here’s the crash dumps from today
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit 2023.11.18 13.00.20.537-freezedump.dmp (2.7 MB)
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit 2023.11.18 13.30.24.699-freezedump.dmp (2.3 MB)
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit 2023.11.18 13.44.24.655-freezedump.dmp (2.7 MB)
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit 2023.11.18 13.56.37.623-freezedump.dmp (2.9 MB)
I had to re boot my machines as well as Cubase refused to be unloaded despite being killed in the task manager. it still remained there which is weird, causing me to reboot everytime.
Not a good morning

Hi,
3 of the freezdumps come from the known Windows WDM MIDI Driver issue. Are you sure, yu were using the WinRT driver?
The 4th issue is in another (but already known) area.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing the files. I haven’t seen these crashes yet, but all 3 are the same.
Are your track names long? Or the file names? There must be a long string (text) in the project.
Reported to Steinberg.
they were the crashes i had trying to use the RT driver then going back to the WDM driver, so I’m not sure at what point they came. The RT driver just didn’t work for me, as I said I lost my expression pedal and Drawbars for my organ and the listed input for the RME , returning to the WDM diver and everything is recognised and working again. I had to reboot everytime cubase froze.
Hi,

Cubase 13-2023-11-19-005504.ips (125.4 KB)
This crash is on Apple side in the:
com.apple.network.connections
It’s the same crash, you had before already (in this thread a few lines above).
Thank you. Would you have any advice what I should do to solve the problem? And why do you suppose these crashes only occur with Cubase 13?
Hi,
As far as I know, even though the Hub is new, the web part remains the same.
Do you compare with Cubase 12 before Cubase 13 release, or even nowadays?
Well, 12 crashed sometimes on this same mac and OS but much less frequently.
Cheers Martin… my track names weren’t particularly long, but I noticed it was happening when I was loading up or saving a patch for a certain Kontakt instrument (NI Vintage Organs). I removed that from my project and it hasn’t crashed since.
Hi,
NI Kontakt has released 7.7 update recently. I have read, that some other users don’t have these crashes anymore after the update.
I’ve had something similar happen to me. I got a popup window with the same message. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what I was doing at the time because I just thought it might be a one-off. Ever since then, each time I save the project, Cubase assigns a different number, saying the program is unstable since the crash and I should restart the program after the save is complete.
Actually, I just remembered that I was working in Ozone 11 when Cubase crashed.
Hi,
Attach the *.ips/*.dmp file(s), please.
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit2023.11.22 19.07.20.852.dmp (726.0 KB)
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit2023.11.23 8.43.22.492.dmp (1.7 MB)
Sorry, I could only link two files per reply, and I had three dump files.
