The world is full of unintended consequences…
I’m relatively happy with Cubase 13 deleting folders it has itself created and have remained unused in the Project folder, but am unhappy with it deleting empty folders that I have created myself that also exist within that folder…
I’m a Mac user and and have been a Cubase user since 1991 (on a B&W Mac Classic), and currently using it on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra. I can confirm that this empty folder deletion behaviour goes on in my Mac world and includes any I may have independently created.
Steinberg - please find a way to stop Cubase from deleting any non-cubase created empty folders.
Reason - I often create empty folders in project folders, with the folder NAME as a brief note for something as an “aide memoire”. OK, you may frown upon this method of mine, but it has helped me remember details for things I would otherwise have forgotten in old projects I have had to revisit. This new behaviour of deleting those empty folders would wreck that method going forward. Hands off my own, personally created folders.
