Hi,
Is it possible in Cubase 13 to add a Channel Strip Macro by pressing a button via a key command some how ?
Hi,
What do you mean by the “Channel Strip Macro”, please?
Hi,
Coming from Studio One, I can create macros, with one button, assign on a selected track, and pick my favorite vst channel strip, eq, compressor, whatever to open. I do not find an option to do this in cubase 13
Cubase macros, key commands , do not seem to have that feature,
selected track, pick plugin, assign key command to midi controller, then open plugin
Hi,
Do you want to lead a specific Track Preset?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Well I already have track presets in many cases, of init patches, to where i can begin tweaking . I was mainly interested in a macro for pulling up a plugin. Is it possible to assign a macro to track preset? This would solve the issue if so. My problem with the current status of mediabay is, it’s pretty slow, and would like to just press a macro and get right to my channel strip and or track preset.
Thanks again for the reply.
Hi,
I’m afraid, you are using Studio One terminology, which is confusing. There is no need for Macro to call any preset in Cubase.
In Cubase terminology, a Macro is a set (chain) of Commands.
If you want to add a single plug-in to the Insert effects, it’s not a Macro. It’s a single command. But you cannot assign a Key Command for this. If you want to add multiple plug-ins at once, you can do this via presets. Again, unfortunately, you cannot assign a Key Command to the presets in Cubase.
Hi , Studio One a Macro is also a chain of commands. In Studio One, I can add a Macro, using what would be something like this… On Selected Track, add plugin, name plugin, open plugin… done… This is what I’m asking, since I can’t find that in Cubase… The ability to do such commands, as I cannot find the option to choose a macro like such…
Studio One has Track presets as well. I already have hundreds of Track Presets in Cubase, and mediabay which isn’t exactly what I was asking about, but it doesn’t look like Cubase has the ability to assign a macro to view and choose from numerous plugins then open with the click of a button hence why I called it a macro…
Thanks, JonLance
Hi,
I’m sorry, this is not possible in Cubase.
