Hi,
Sorry for my english spoken…
I bought cubase and update it since a long time ago but today i’m very angry with patchscript files !!!
I undesrtand that Steinberg can’ create patchscript . txt files for each new synthesizer, it’s normal (big job)
I was obliged to create new .txt files for my Waldorf micro-Q, Korg Radias, Nord lead A1 and today I bought a Korg Nautilus with some thousand sounds…
I’m a computer technician since a long time and used only wndows O.S.
About Korg nautilus I generate the patchscipt file for cubase using the korg plugin but nothing works in cubase ! I cut and paste the file in several steinberg directories (…script, patchnames, inactive…) but I don’t see the name of my synthesizer appear when I want to add it as MIDI instrument.
I upload from my nautilus the pcg file and use pcg program to generate a txt file and put it the te good steinberg diredtory, it’s not working too.
Today to make a test, I decided to creta a new GM MIDI instrument and create one hundred line with several banks with sounds. It obviously works and when I select a sound in a bank in cubase I also see that the sound is changing on my KORG Nautilus.
The real problem is that I don’t want to type several hundred parameters and the first BIG question for the team support is where is my new file ??? I look everywhere in my hard disk impossible to find it !! where is it ?
I see on internent that lots of musician have the same problem, without real answer.
The purpose is that I want to edit my file.
I specify that I do not want to use the korg plugin. The plugin has been created by Sound Quest I bought midi quest pro a few years I send to their support an email because whenI want to export their patchscript.txt file in cubase, it’s not working and I don’t see my synthesizer when I want to add Korg nautilus as MIDI instrument. For the moment they don’t know why it’s not working…
Thanks you in adavance for your answer(s) !
