Cubase 13 has worked flawlessly since I got it. Then suddenly it just stopped receiving midi from my keyboard. I tested the keyboard in other software and it worked fine.
Don’t understand. What just happened?
Check the midi input and output
Have you checked the ports in Cubase to see if they are disabled? I’m not sure why they would be but worth checking.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Double-check Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Ports Setup. If you are using the All MIDI Inputs, make sure, the needed MIDI Port is listed. Atach a screenshot of this window.
Also double-check Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter. By default only SysEx is filtered out for both Record and Thru.
Thanks for your response. I had checked everything to no avail. Then a YouTube video suggested going to %addapp% and deleting everything in the Cubase folder, all 300 files.
I was a little nervous but I did it, and when I started up Cubase it worked fine. I guess it resets everything.
You might want to include that in you Fac section for Cubase 13.
Thanks for your response.
Hi,
Deleting preferences is mentioned in the Knowledge Base.
