Cubase 13 stops when inserting a 3rd party plugin

Hi, I bought Cubase 13 yesterday and I’m trying to do a mix in it but it just stops and doesn’t respond every time I do that. I did it a lot of times and every time I end the task from the task manager and open again but same thing still happens.

Is there a fix for this?

Best,

With the stock -plugins?
Windows or Mac?
What audio interface and driver?

3rd party plugins.
Windows 11
I have the cranborne audio 500R interface and lunchbox for 500 series modules

Not sure if this has anything to do with it. But I’m a user of Cubase 9.5 and I upgraded from that to 13

All 3rd party plugins?

I have tons but so far I tried some from UAD and tried couple from Neural DSP

Odd…no issues with UAD Native here.
Are cubase and plugs on c drive in standard folders?
If you have 9.5 still installed are they definitely still loading fine in there?

Yeah everything works fine and fast with 9.5

In that case I guess I would be trying a re-install or reset of preferences in the first instance.

I will reinstall again today but also it seems like cubase 9.5 became slow too. Takes forever to insert a plugin. (Waves plugins work fine) but everything takes long time to open.

Maybe a drive is failing or something…it’s unlikely installing 13 would break earlier installs.

Something is weird with WIN11 23H2.
I have some delays at Cubase project load with printer (waiting for printer), testpages are ok also via Win pdf. Cubase does not show printer in menu.
I have issues with startup WIN with Logi USB receiver (Intel chipset 1700)

Maybe some help here for the printer message:
