Cubase 13 | Tempo Metadata Recognition

Hello there.

I’m probably chasing my tail here but there we go.

I’m trying to find a way for Cubase to actually read the Tempo/BPM metadata of audio files I import to it.

I have tried it with FLAC and AIFF files which I confirmed they do contain the BPM metadata, but when I import to Cubase the software doesn’t recognise that and instead it’s defaulting to a random BPM.

Any ideas here? Is that even possible on Cubase?

PS Custom Support in Greece is also not an option I can’t even submit a ticket which is insane so here I am on the forum.

Thanks

Hi,

In this case, you should see the information in the MediaBay.

I do but even on Media Bay the Tempo metadata isn’t showing. It’s empty. I tried literally everything I could think of to make this work but I just came to the conclusion so far that Cubase isn’t reading the tempo metadata at all.

So I’m just writing here in case someone else knows better or someone from Steinberg can verify if this is something actually not possible.
