Cubase 13 with more than one instance of Kontakt 7 causes crash

Recently updated to Cubase 13 from 10 (this is the worst of many issues but I can work around the others for now), I’ve been running it for about a week without this issue happening, now this happens every time:

If I open more than one instance of Kontakt 7, then click out of Cubase to another programme (i.e. a web browser) then click back, Cubase crashes, if the two instances are overlapping each other it rapidly flickers between the two windows. I have to use task manager to close Cubase and there are no crash dump files created afterwards. Cubase has created crash dumps previously, so they usually work, just not when it crashes this way.
Earlier versions of Kontakt are fine, other plugins work fine and as long as I don’t click out it doesn’t crash, although obviously this isn’t workable.

If anyone has any bright ideas please let me know for the meantime I have to switch back to 10 to continue my work.

Hi,

If you did it really recently, you should get Cubase 14 for free thanks to the Grace Period. Could you double-check this option in the Steinberg Activation Manager, please?

Could you attach the *.ips/dmp file, please? In the best case, from Cubase 14 (if you got the free update).

Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: %userprofile%/Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps

Hi

I’ve just been on the site and there is no free upgrade option, just a charge of £83 to upgrade.
As mentioned in my initial message there are no crash dumps created when the crash happens, when other kinds of crash happened (and there have been many) there were files created, just not when the crash happens in the way I describe above.
