Certain old projects form cubase 10 or 11 :
When I go to import Cubase 13 says “Invalled File” and wont show sample rate or bit depth. It is a .WAV file. But other projects from the same year 2020, and same drive, still have wave files that Cubase 13 recognises. Unfortunately I no longer have an older Cubase to even see if that makes a difference. Files from projects I did in 2017 will still work. Just certain projects on the same drives won’t import. This is a new problem that has just developed today. any ideas?
These same wave files will not play in VLC either. Seems they are somehow corrupted?
Hi
I’m afraid so.
If you don’t mind, you can upload one of the possibly defective audio files here so that someone can check it.
Tell us a little bit more …
- are you on PC or Mac?
- internal drive or external (USB) drive?
Im on PC. I think some files on this drive are corrupted. I ve tried check disc and Sea Tools but they report the drive as ok. These Cubase songs were backed up from my main drive. In the backup process the files must have been corrupted. That’s my conclusion.
