I’m having an issue with Cubase 14 Pro. When I record, I experience audio dropouts. It doesn’t seem to be related to buffer size or CPU usage, since I don’t have this problem when using Reaper or any other DAW at any Buffer size rate.
Here are my PC spec
- Operating System: Windows 11
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G w/ Radeon 740M Graphics
- RAM: 32 GB
- Audio Interface: Minifuse 2
- GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060
- DAW: Cubase 14 Pro
Hi,
do you use the recommended NVIDIA studio driver or the gaming driver? The latter can cause all sorts of problems.
Hi, thanks for responding.
I’m using the latest Studio driver, so the issue might be coming from somewhere else. I’ve also tried switching to the Game Ready driver, but I didn’t notice any difference.
It seems to be a Cubase-specific problem, because I can record in Reaper or Ableton for about two minutes straight without issues, but in Cubase the audio dropouts usually appear within the first 30 seconds of recording.
