Cubase 14 Pro Doesn't Find All My VSTs (Mac)

I’m considering jumping on board the Cubase bus… I’m currently running the 14 Pro trial. Problem is that Cubase doesn’t find most of my plug ins. It finds the native plug ins and my Waves plug ins but nothing else, no UA, no Toontrack, Nugen, etc. Being a total Cubase newbie I don’t know where to begin.

I hope one of you nice people can help me! Thanks in advance.

You haven’t told us very much about your setup other than that you’re on a Mac.
Therefore I’m going to assume that:
a) It’s a Mac silicon machine and you’re running in native mode
b) A lot of your plugins are VST2.

If both those assumptions are true then you won’t be able to run VST2 plugins on a silicon Mac in native mode because VST2 hasn’t been supported by Cubase or Nuendo on that platform since V11.
The alternatives are to run the Mac in Rosetta mode, which will give you access to your VST2 plugins but will also run less effciently, or, upgrade your plugins to VST3 to run supported in native mode.
If my assumptions aren’t correct then it could be something else entirely.

Thanks for the reply! Turns out that Cubase wasn’t actually frozen. It was taking it’s sweet time going through some .VSTs that had some files removed so Cubase couldn’t load them. Finally Cubase gave up and moved about half my plug ins to a new folder. So, I figured that one out. I’m encouraged.
