Cubase 14 pro error - New Group channels appear disabled

Hi, Cubase 14 has been behaving really badly for the last couple of days.

The latest is that upon creating new group tracks, they appear inactive (disabled) and I have to enable them. Now, the new groups don’t show in the group track routing list so I can’t route channels any longer.

EDIT: I had to clone a healthy disc to my working hard drive and that seem to take care of the groups not showing issue, but the deactivated Group appearing when added, still persists.

Now, when the group is activated, the Volume line doesn’t show…

I opened an older file and the group is created fine, I opened the session I am working now and the same error happened. I think either this newer version is corrupted , or there is a setting I am unaware of…

Has anyone had this issue before?

If so, is there a fix?

Cubase 14 pro (latest version) Windows 10

PS. I just installed 15, same thing is happening there.

So, this is what I am seeing, anyone else is getting this error??

Does that happen if the group track is not set to any output?

Hi there,

It happens after Cubase crashes a few times, sometimes it crashes when I export stems which is what I am doing now.

The configuration is normal i.e. there is a designated output track.

When I create this track , and it’s like this, I have to activate it , the same way one activates a deactivated track…it’s very bizarre. Group tracks can’t be deactivated anyway…

Now, when the group is activated, the Volume like doesn’t show…

Also

I opened an older file and the group is created fine, I opened the session I am working now and the same error happened. I think either this newer session file is corrupted , or there is a setting I am unaware of…

PS, The groups not showing at the group list is resolved after I copied a fresh installed copy to my working drive.

So, this is a bug.

Other files (sessions) work fine. The session that this issue started happening is corrupted, and resulted to this behavour. I will report it on this forum.

Thanks so much.
